10th Annual FVMAs!

We want to extend a huge congratulations to our long-time client, CIVL Radio, on successfully hosting the 10th Annual Fraser Valley Music Awards (FVMA)! It’s always an honour to support initiatives that uplift local talent and contribute to the arts and culture.

Discotoast has been a proud partner in this journey, redesigning the FVMA website in 2020 and the CIVL.ca platform in 2022, helping to ensure both are accessible, modern, and artist-focused.

This year, we were excited to expand our involvement by working closely with Graphic + Digital Design students from the University of the Fraser Valley. In a consulting and mentorship role, we supported the student teams throughout their creative process, offering guidance and feedback along the way. We also participated in selecting the winning design concept, which was then developed into a set of social media templates for all 2025 nominees and winners. These assets not only helped promote individual artists but also celebrated the milestone 10th anniversary of the awards with a unified visual identity.

The Fraser Valley Music Awards—an initiative of CIVL Radio, UFV’s campus and community station, launched in July 2016. Since then, the awards have celebrated over 240 local artists and distributed more than $75,000 in cash prizes, making a lasting impact on the regional music scene.

We’re proud to contribute to a project that merges music, education, and design, and we look forward to continuing our work with CIVL and the FVMA in the years to come.
